Autumn in Swansea Bay
As the days start getting shorter and the days get crisper, there’s nothing like Autumn in Swansea Bay. Whether you’re heading down for a weekend or a longer stay, there’s plenty to see and do.
As the season starts to get a little colder, wrap up warm and spend your days exploring our incredible walking paths, or discovering our beautiful outdoor spaces, parks and gardens, followed by warming up with a hot drink in some of our incredible cafes and coffee shops.
If your more of the athletic type or simply want to challenge yourself this season, why not take part in the annual Admiral Swansea Bay 10K? The perfect race for experienced runners trying to beat their PB or first timers and fun runners, you’ll get to take in the stunning sweep of Swansea Bay, and it’s the perfect way to welcome in Autumn.
There’s also no better time to catch a show or two in the city centre, either in the historic Swansea Grand Theatre, or taking in the incredible light up skin of Swansea Arena. After that, relax with friends as you dine at one of the many restaurants on offer.
But don’t forget, as the nights draw in each October the ghosts and ghouls come out to play! Every Halloween there’s plenty of fun for all ages, with our annual Spooks in the City and Halloween Ghost Train events, as well as some spooky goings on at Oystermouth Castle.
