Big and small accommodation providers are hailing the impact of the Barclays Premier League on the city

Managers of hotels and bed and breakfasts say away fans have been staying in Swansea in their droves for nights before and after crunch games at the Liberty Stadium.
They say many visitors are surprised by how much Swansea has to offer and have mentioned coming back to the city in future for trips with their families and friends.
Swansea Council is working closely with accommodation providers across the city to ensure everyone gets a slice of the benefits Barclays Premier League status brings.
Council tourism experts have also been promoting Swansea in major regions across the country to sell the Swansea Bay area to club officials and thousands of travelling fans.
Ian Harding-Jones, General Manager of the Mercure on Phoenix Way, said: "We average about 15 away fans per Premier League fixture in Swansea and most of them have been staying for two nights.
"Many have said they didn't realise how much Swansea has to offer and one visitor even said Swansea reminds him of Sydney because of how to close the city is to the coast and our beautiful beaches.
"The exposure that Visit Swansea Bay and Visit Wales are getting from Swans games on TV programmes like Match of the Day is priceless because millions of people are tuning in."
Mary Hayward, who runs the Tides Reach Guesthouse in Mumbles with husband Lyn, said: "One of our visitors was a West Bromwich Albion fan who'd been to Swansea before.
"But this time he brought his brother with him for three nights to watch the match and explore Gower.
"People do tend to be blown away by Gower when they first realise it's there and many will want to come back because of how friendly and welcoming Welsh people tend to be."
Cllr Graham Thomas, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, said: "We have been promoting Swansea in major parts of England where many of the Premier League clubs are concentrated to try to encourage as many fans as possible to make trips here for the football and spend a few nights.
"We've also been working closely alongside local accommodation providers to help ensure everyone benefits from the Premier League and visitors are encouraged to make return trips in future."
