Winner of the AA Wine Award Wales and Swansea's only graded 'Gold Award' winner

Local restaurateurs Fairyhill on Gower are celebrating the news that they have won the coveted AA Wales Wine Award 2010–11 in recognition of their wine selection.
Owners Andrew Hetherington and Paul Davies received the award at the glamorous AA Hospitality Awards ceremony in September. As one of 180 finalists across the UK, the special accolade was awarded to Fairyhill once Paul had designed a wine selection from the Fairyhill cellars to accompany a meal set by last year's winner, chef John Hoskins, a Master of Wine who also acts as one of this year's judges. Fellow judge and the AA's Hotel Services Manager Simon Numphud said: "We were looking for a selection that not only suited each course but that proved imaginative and ensured that the flow of the meal was enhanced. Fairyhill achieved just that."
Fairyhill, who has already achieved the highest grade of 5 stars with Visit Wales, was also the only Swansea Bay operator awarded a Visit Wales Gold Award 2010.
