Swansea Bay and Gower are blessed with many award-winning beaches such as Bracelet Bay (Blue Flag and Seaside Award), Caswell Bay (Blue Flag and Seaside Award), Langland Bay (Blue Flag and Seaside Award) and Limeslade Bay (Green Coast Award and Rurual Seaside Award).

The lovely Port Eynon Bay (Blue Flag and Seaside Award) was recently voted the 'Best British Beach 2011' in the Cadbury Flake 99 Great British Beach Awards.

Rhossili Bay, our 'supermodel of British beaches' (The Independent) was voted 'the best beach in Britain' in 2010 (Cadbury Flake 99 Great British Beach Awards & Daily Mail online poll) and the UK's 'best picnic spot' (British Guild of Travel Writers). It also won a Green Coast Award 2012.

If you're into surfing head for Langland, Caswell or Llangennith

They're all great for families, with all the amenities you need for little ones. Other family-friendly beaches can be found at Oxwich Bay and Horton.

For wilder experiences, head to Three Cliffs Bay, Mewslade, Pwll Du, Brandy Cove, just some of the hidden jewels of the Gower Peninsula. See full list of beaches.

Please help us keep our beaches safe and clean! Respect the environment, take your litter home, recycle where you can and observe dog bans this summer. Read more about responsible tourism and what you can do to help.
